Know the reason

      Hello everyone, this week my friends and I created a public service announcement about drunk driving. We had two other options which are creating a ''How To'' project and creating a fictional story but we wanted to touch on an important issue. The reason why we chose this topic is we want to create awareness about it because it is an unsolvable problem for many years. Some things have no compensation and the consequences of drunk driving are among them.       Although the content of our public service announcement is unpleasant, creating a PSA is different and enjoyable for me. While creating it, we used Google Slides for the visual presentation and the  kapwing  website to edit our video. As our topic is relatively sensitive, we acted responsibly in choosing photographs.       Infographics have always been interest for me as it provides explicit information with brief explanations and visual elements. The topics of infographics can be anything, as a teacher candidate, I have prepared one about becoming great teachers. In preparation phase I used  canva  for template, it has a lot of templates for free. Infographics convey the message in a quick and clear way. Owing to these features of infographics, it could be very effective to give places to them in course books.

       My teacher asked me to create a movie poster based on the book I read. I chose Rainbow Six from Tom Clancy which is a techno-thriller novel. There are a few video games based on that book which I like to play so much but there is not any movie which has been filmed yet, I hope one day it will be filmed because some of the books in the series were filmed. As recommended, I used  postermywall  to create my imaginary movie poster. You don't need to be a graphic designer to make poster thanks to this website. It is really easy to create posters in this website. You can adjust almost every detail. It also very entartaining to create a poster, especially if you do it for your one of your favourite books. This task develops imagination so I find it very logical to give students such a task. As a similar task I can ask my students to create an album cover. This album should include their favourite songs and has an overall concept.  

     Hello everyone, my classmates and I have created a KWL chart on Padlet. KWL is an abbreviation for What We Know, What We Want to Know, and What We Learnt. We chose the Covid-19 topic for this task which has become a significant part of our lives in the past two years. We realized that there are still some facts that we don’t know about Covid-19. This chart led us to learn them.      KWL charts are very beneficial for both their creators and readers. So creating a KWL chart task can be given to students.       Hello everyone, this week I created a wiki entry. The content of the entry is a film review. I chose the movie “Upgrade” to review. The reason why I pick that is I like it so much. Although I don’t like to rewatch movies, I watched it four times. I like plot twists in scripts and this film has a lot of plot twists.       Creating a wiki is really fun as its content is about your interest. Since it is a way of giving information and sharing your ideas with audiences, to improve their ability of self-expression, creating a wiki can be given to students as a task.

                       Hello everyone, Fidem and I created an extraordinary content for our blogs. We created vox-pop which means a collection of different voices. In our vox-pop, ten people participated and we asked them where they see themselves in five years later? As all participants are university students, they have dreams and potential to make them real. It can be concluded from their statements that they want to be richer. Only few answered the question in terms of spirituality. This was predictable for us anyway. When we asked the question, some of them hesitated because they hadn’t thought about this before. However, some of them are so confident that I am sure they will be where they want to be. During the preparation phase, we had difficulties finding a topic. We wanted to find a question that everybody can answer.
